Ryosuke Sakota joined Isseido Bookstore, one of Jimbocho’s most famous antiquarian bookstores, straight out of high school, and now runs Keyaki Shoten. In this series he recalls fifty years of the book district: the book auctions at the Tokyo Kosho Kaikan, the colleagues he drank with, and the shops and eateries that have since disappeared.
